an unthinkable joy.

we are always blaming God,
why is he so biased?
that we have to lead such a difficult life.
upon facing situations which the people arnd us ain't facing,
we started feeling that life is so unfair.
or maybe when compared to our friends,
when we don't have what our friends' got,
again, we started feeling that life is so unfair.
that people get the things they want,
but we don't.
but shouldn't we pause for a moment and think,
how really fortunate we are?
at least we don't have to pick up cans from the litter bins to earn a living.
while i was at my house busstop waiting for 185 to go gekpoh,
i saw this china lady, rather old, picking up used cans from the dustbin.
and it's cold out there, well, cause it just rained.
guess wad. when i was going home from the busstop i alighted,
i walked thru this stretch of voiddeck, and saw this same lady again.
still picking up cans, after arnd two hours.
many of us are already home watching television, or maybe outside playing.
but this poor lady gotta walk and search for cans.. duh. from litterbins.
she gotta do this just to earn a living.
how much can she earn from picking cans and selling them?
maybe 5cents per can?
alright, lets assume that its 5cents per can, so..
how much does she earn upon collecting 10 cans?
its only 50CENTS. it isn't enough to pay for a bus ride.
and so how many cans must she collect just to earn 5bucks?
100 cans.
comparing to her, shouldn't we consider ourselves lucky already?
we don't even have to worry about our meals..
for we have pocket money,
which didn't even come from us, but our parents,
to pay for our meals.
while this poor lady have to pick up 100 over cans to earn a 5 bucks to pay for a meal, we don't even have to do anything and there we have, our meal.
ain't we already considered fortunate?
so, shouldn't we stop complaining about our lives?
so, shoudn't we stop whining about every little thing that comes by?
shouldn't we start looking at our lives at another perspective?
that we aren't always the worser ones?
there are far more unfortunates people out there.
ain't their lives much more unfair?
but have we ever heard complains from these people?
NONE. at all.
* heh. suddenly felt like writing all these.
i think it was God who made the bus came late.
so i could do some reflections.
yep. while waiting for bus, really did some reflections on myself.
i've been complaining too much. about every little thing.
about everything that comes by.
about every circumstance and problem.
i may not have my mom.
i may not have my grandma.
but i still have my circle of friends.
but i still have my dad.
but i still have my relatives.
& most imptly, i still have my God.
comparing to those orphans,
who are far worse than me,
i am really really a fortunate girl.
yes, this is a valuable lesson learnt.
i think it's really time to change.
stop taking things for granted.
seriously, i wanted to post on this because i think there's a need for a wakeup call to many teens as well as myself. i think it's really time to really live our lives MEANINGFULLY.
stop complaining, stop whining, stop comparing, which will only cause so much misery. stop thinking negatively. stop being so self-centered. we gotta change. yes. we have to. its only when we begin to appreciate what we've got. what's the point of having so much? it's still just temporary possesions anyway.
wadever it is, this is your life. a life from God. God created us in a way to live for him, to accomplish the purpose he gave us. however, it's still your CHOICE on how you wana lead your life. to live miserably, or to live meaningfully and enjoying it. it all depends on you. [not trying to evangelise here la] haha.
Thank God that i do not have to suffer.. AHA!
.LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST.
(my obs commitment=)
